BrewHoard is provided as a free service with no warranty or guarantee of any kind. By using this service, you acknowledge and agree that:
- The service is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied
- We are not liable for any damages, losses, or issues arising from your use of this service
- There is no guaranteed support - we may respond to issues at our discretion, but are under no obligation to do so
- The service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice
- You use this service at your own risk and are responsible for your own data backups
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and display name. You may optionally provide a profile picture, bio, and location. This information is required to provide you with access to our services.
Collection Data
We store information about the beers in your collection, including ratings, tasting notes, reviews, photos, acquisition dates, purchase prices, and container types that you choose to add. We also track consumption events (when you drank a beer and any notes about it).
Usage Data
We use Rybbit analytics to collect anonymized data about how you use the app, including pages visited and features used. We also collect your device's IP address and browser information for analytics purposes. No personal data is sent to analytics.

Your data is stored in databases with standard security practices. Passwords are hashed and all data in transit is encrypted. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We strongly recommend you regularly export your collection data using the Export feature for personal backups.
We will never sell or share your personal data with third parties, except in the following limited circumstances:
- When required by law or to respond to legal processes
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public
- With your explicit consent
Your personal data remains yours. We do not monetize your data or use it for advertising purposes.

We use session cookies to keep you logged in. We use local storage for offline functionality and caching. As a Progressive Web App, some data is cached locally on your device for offline access. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall BrewHoard, its operators, owners, or contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the service
- Any conduct or content of any third party on the service
- Any content obtained from the service
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory
